Researching the Whitta family was a labor of love for Rex. He spent more
than 40 years working to build his knowledge (and subsequently ours) of the
family history.
Without his efforts, it is safe to say we would know little of our origins.
I have counted myself fortunate to have known him (my second cousin thrice
removed) for 19 years and I would never have taken such a strong interest in
family history had it not been for his zeal and encouragement.
Rest in peace, my friend.
